<h3><strong>Position Overview</strong></h3><p>MetroSys is seeking a highly capable <strong>Azure Cloud Engineer</strong> for a <strong>short-term engagement (60–90 days)</strong> to support a client’s cloud environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can <strong>quickly assess, remediate, and stabilize Azure environments</strong> while contributing to ongoing configuration and deployment efforts.</p><p>The ideal candidate is <strong>Azure-savvy, execution-focused</strong>, and able to step into an active environment, identify issues, and drive resolution with minimal ramp-up time.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Rapidly assess the current Azure environment and <strong>identify misconfigurations, risks, and optimization opportunities</strong></li><li>Lead efforts to <strong>remediate Azure issues</strong>, including networking, security, identity, and resource configuration</li><li>Support and execute <strong>Azure deployments and configuration changes</strong> based on client needs</li><li>Work through <strong>operational tickets and escalations</strong>, ensuring timely resolution and system stability</li><li>Implement and improve <strong>Azure best practices</strong> across:<ul><li>Identity & Access Management (Entra ID / Azure AD)</li><li>Networking (VNets, NSGs, connectivity)</li><li>Security and governance (policies, RBAC, Defender)</li></ul></li><li>Assist with <strong>resource organization, cost optimization, and performance tuning</strong></li><li>Document findings, changes, and recommendations for <strong>client handoff and long-term sustainability</strong></li><li>Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure <strong>clear communication and alignment</strong></li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>3–7+ years</strong> of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with:<ul><li>Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking)</li><li>Entra ID / Azure AD</li><li>Azure portal, CLI, and/or PowerShell</li></ul></li><li>Proven ability to <strong>troubleshoot and remediate cloud environment issues quickly</strong></li><li>Experience working in <strong>client-facing or consulting environments</strong></li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>Azure architecture and best practices</strong></li><li>Ability to <strong>hit the ground running</strong> with minimal onboarding</li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></h3><ul><li>Experience with <strong>Azure governance frameworks</strong> (policies, blueprints, landing zones)</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>security and compliance tools</strong> (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel)</li><li>Experience with <strong>automation or Infrastructure as Code</strong> (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>hybrid environments</strong> (on-prem to Azure connectivity)</li><li>Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, etc.)</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Engagement Details</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Duration:</strong> 60–90 days</li><li><strong>Type:</strong> Full-time, contract engagement</li><li><strong>Focus:</strong> Azure remediation, configuration, and operational support</li><li><strong>Start:</strong> Immediate / ASAP preferred</li></ul>
