Our core values include prompt access to care - including same-day appointments - as well as service and education to the community.</p><p>This <strong>fully remote</strong> Triage Medical Assistant position plays a critical role in supporting patient care through high-volume phone interactions and care coordination. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, call-driven environment. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong></p><ul><li>Full-time, Monday through Friday (8:00AM – 4:30PM)</li></ul><ul><li>Remote – candidates must reside in the state of Ohio</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions: </strong></p><ul><li>Manage high-volume inbound calls throughout the day</li><li>Triage patient needs using appropriate clinical judgment</li><li>Communicate effectively with providers and office teams regarding patient care plans</li><li>Provide patients with pathology results and follow-up instructions</li><li>Schedule appointments, including surgeries and procedures, when additional support is needed</li><li>Process prescription refill requests and send prescriptions as directed</li><li>Verify insurance information and collect patient payments</li><li>Submit and update prior authorizations</li><li>Accurately document patient interactions and create tasks within ModMed EHR for office teams</li><li>Handle calls from patients, providers, hospitals, and other healthcare entities, determining urgency and appropriate resolution</li><li>Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:<br/><br/>Please mention the word **EXTOL** and tag RMjYwNDoyZGMwOjEwMToyMDA6OjI4NTA= when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjYwNDoyZGMwOjEwMToyMDA6OjI4NTA=).
