Technology & Operations Intern (Volunteer/Scholarship)
Young Americans for Liberty • Remote
If you like solving problems and getting things done, this role will give you reps. Young Americans for Liberty is looking for a Technology & Operations Intern to support the systems and processes that keep the organization running. This is not a narrow internship. You will work across technology and operations, helping execute the day-to-day work that allows teams to move faster and focus on higher-impact priorities. If you are comfortable jumping into different types of work, learning quickly, and taking ownership of tasks, this role will give you exposure to how a real operations and tech function runs. About the role The Technology & Operations Intern supports YAL’s Technology Operations and broader Operations teams by handling a wide range of technical and operational tasks. This role is intentionally broad. In a given week, you may work on spreadsheet cleanup, support triage, documentation, research, vendor follow-ups, event preparation, or small system updates. The value of this role is flexibility and execution. You will work from an evolving task queue rather than a fixed set of responsibilities, supporting whatever work needs to get done. This role is designed to reduce day-to-day execution load so full-time staff can focus on higher-level system and operational priorities. You will report to YAL’s IT Generalist and work directly with members of the Operations team. 📍 Location: Austin, TX preferred (remote considered for exceptional candidates) 🕒 Hours: 15–25 hours per week preferred 📅 Term: Semester or summer (flexible; one academic term standard) This is an unpaid volunteer internship.
