The firm is seeking a finance leader to support Hawaiian Cool Water, a Honolulu-based water treatment and equipment leasing company, along with related business interests.<br><br>This role offers the opportunity to serve as the primary financial partner to ownership while helping guide the company's financial operations and long-term planning.<br><br>The Role<br><br>ADFAC is seeking a Part-Time CFO / Controller to oversee the company's financial function, providing strategic financial guidance while remaining hands-on with day-to-day accounting and reporting. The position works closely with ownership to support financial planning, compliance, and operational decision-making.<br><br>This long-term remote engagement is designed for an experienced finance executive seeking meaningful impact with a flexible part-time schedule and responsibility for a single business.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Financial Management<br><br><ul><li>Lead the monthly financial close process and financial reporting.</li><li>Ensure GAAP compliance across accounting activities.</li><li>Develop budgets, rolling forecasts, and budget-to-actual analyses.</li><li>Manage fixed asset accounting and lessor accounting for equipment leasing operations.<br><br></li></ul>Treasury & Financial Planning<br><br><ul><li>Oversee banking relationships and cash management.</li><li>Monitor loan covenant compliance.</li><li>Partner with the external CPA firm on tax planning initiatives.<br><br></li></ul>Leadership<br><br><ul><li>Coach and develop the Accounting Specialist.</li><li>Serve as the primary financial advisor to ownership.</li><li>Support strategic financial decision-making and business planning.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>CPA strongly preferred.</li><li>7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.</li><li>Big Four/Five public accounting experience is a plus.</li><li>Hands-on controller experience with executive-level financial judgment.</li><li>Strong understanding of recurring revenue metrics, including MRR, churn, and margin.</li><li>Availability during Pacific or Hawaii business hours.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation<br><br></strong><ul><li>$150â$165 per hour.</li><li>Long-term 1099 independent contractor engagement.<br><br></li></ul>Time Commitment<br><br><ul><li>Approximately 40â50 hours per month (9â12 hours per week).</li><li>Fully remote.</li><li>Flexible work schedule.</li><li>Training and transition support provided by the outgoing CFO/Controller.<br><br></li></ul><br/><br/>Please mention the word **EASED** and tag RNTQuMjQyLjIwLjEw when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RNTQuMjQyLjIwLjEw).
