<p>MetroSys is seeking a highly skilled <strong>Senior Network Engineer</strong> to lead the <strong>implementation and delivery of a multi-phase network transformation initiative</strong>. This role is responsible for executing against a defined Statement of Work, including <strong>design validation, staging, migration, integration, and cutover activities</strong> for a next-generation network architecture.</p><p>The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in <strong>data center networking, routing, security, and large-scale migrations</strong>, with the ability to drive execution while maintaining alignment with architectural standards.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Execute delivery of a multi-phase <strong>Network 2.0 transformation</strong>, including design validation, staging, migration, integration, and service cutover</li><li>Implement and support <strong>Arista-based data center fabric architectures</strong>, including EVPN/VXLAN, MLAG, and BGP-based designs</li><li>Configure and integrate <strong>Palo Alto firewalls</strong>, including NAT migration, policy design, and Panorama management</li><li>Support <strong>datacenter consolidation and interconnect design</strong>, including redundant circuits and VPN failover strategies</li><li>Deploy and validate <strong>core, edge, and management network components</strong> aligned to defined architecture standards</li><li>Implement:<ul><li>eBGP/iBGP routing at the edge</li><li>OSPF underlay with MP-BGP EVPN overlay</li><li>VRF segmentation across multiple security zones</li></ul></li><li>Lead <strong>staging and proof-of-concept validation</strong>, including failover testing, interoperability, and performance validation</li><li>Migrate legacy configurations (e.g., Juniper) into new <strong>Arista and Palo Alto environments</strong></li><li>Execute <strong>phased integration and cutover activities</strong> with minimal service disruption</li><li>Develop and execute <strong>service migration plans</strong>, including rollback strategies and validation procedures</li><li>Perform <strong>post-cutover validation</strong>, ensuring routing convergence, security enforcement, and service availability</li><li>Collaborate with client and ISP teams to coordinate <strong>change windows and integration activities</strong></li><li>Produce and maintain <strong>detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and validation reports</strong></li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>5–8+ years</strong> of experience in enterprise networking and infrastructure implementation</li><li>Strong hands-on expertise with:<ul><li><strong>Arista EOS (EVPN/VXLAN, MLAG, BGP)</strong></li><li><strong>Palo Alto firewalls (policy, NAT, Panorama)</strong></li></ul></li><li>Deep understanding of:<ul><li>Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)</li><li>Data center networking and segmentation (VRFs, VLANs)</li><li>High availability design (ECMP, BFD, clustering)</li></ul></li><li>Experience with <strong>network migrations, cutovers, and large-scale infrastructure transitions</strong></li><li>Ability to translate architecture into <strong>real-world configurations and execution plans</strong></li><li>Strong troubleshooting and validation skills across <strong>routing, security, and connectivity layers</strong></li><li>Experience working in <strong>client-facing or professional services environments</strong></li></ul>
