Weâre building a team committed to operational excellence in service of holistic well-being.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><span>The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat is seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician for a project-based or ongoing role to maintain our facilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver responsible for handling a variety of general repairs and basic upkeep across the property to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:</span></p><ul><li><span>Room Plumbing: Replacing faucets, clearing clogged bathtubs and sinks, repairing toilets, and addressing minor leaks.</span></li><li><span>Basic Electrical Work: Replacing light fixtures, updating outlets and switches, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues safely.</span></li><li><span>Basic Carpentry: Repairing doors, cabinets, shelves, and handling light woodwork or hardware replacements.</span></li><li><span>Painting & Drywall: Patching holes, sanding, repairing drywall damage, and performing interior/exterior touch-ups and paint jobs.</span></li><li><span>Tiling: Repairing or replacing damaged wall and floor tiles, regrouting, and sealing.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><span>Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role with a strong cross-functional skillset.</span></li><li><span>Hands-on proficiency with standard hand tools, power tools, and basic plumbing/electrical equipment.</span></li><li><span>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering neat, high-quality workmanship (especially in painting and tiling).</span></li><li><span>Ability to work independently, manage a daily task list, and communicate effectively with retreat management.</span></li><li><span>Must be legally authorized to work in The Bahamas (valid citizenship, permanent residency, or work permit).</span></li></ul><br/><br/>Please mention the word **PROWESS** and tag RNDQuMjAzLjI0MS4xMTY= when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RNDQuMjAzLjI0MS4xMTY=).
