Location: Remote (US) Pay: $205,000–$270,000 + equity A late-stage, venture-backed enterprise AI company needs a senior backend engineer for the services behind its AI agents. These agents talk to people in real time, so latency and reliability are the product. What you'll do - Design and scale the backend for agent products - Work with ML and frontend engineers to bring agents into production - Cut latency and raise reliability on high-volume services - Handle large data volumes efficiently and safely - Share on-call for the services you own What you bring - 5+ years of backend engineering - gRPC and REST API design - SQL and NoSQL schema and query tuning - Kubernetes, Docker and microservices on AWS, GCP or Azure - Experience building AI or virtual agent systems - BS in Computer Science Nice to have: queues and distributed orchestration; Python with FastAPI, Flask or Django Mural Group is recruiting for this role on behalf of a client.
