Our Wastewater Team and Projects At Tighe & Bond, you’ll work alongside some of the industry’s most respected wastewater professionals—recognized through multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards. Our team delivers innovative, cost-effective solutions that protect public health, restore ecosystems, and strengthen critical infrastructure. You’ll contribute to projects that span the full lifecycle—from facility planning, permitting, and asset management to the design and construction of treatment plants, pump stations, and resilient conveyance systems. Our portfolio includes Long-Term CSO Control Plans, Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans, Integrated Water Resource Management Plans, and Sewer System Evaluation Studies. With our deep expertise in hydraulic modeling, nutrient removal, resiliency upgrades, and sustainable system design, you’ll be part of a team setting the standard for excellence and building smarter, stronger communities. Responsibilities, Requirements, and Total Rewards What You’ll Be Doing As a valuable part of our Wastewater Team, a Project Manager 2 will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast and responsibilities will include: Managing projects from initial concept through construction completion, promoting adherence to technical, regulatory, and funding requirements Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and guiding them through funding options, permitting, and project execution Supervising multidisciplinary teams, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight for successful project delivery Preparing and overseeing the development of construction documents, including permit applications, drawings, specifications, opinions of cost, and reports, while maintaining high-quality standards Attending meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to address project needs and resolve design challenges Managing budgets and schedules, keeping projects on track while meeting client expectations and industry best practices Assisting with business development, including proposal writing, scope, and budget development What You’ll Need Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field Considerable consulting engineering experience with increasing responsibility in the wastewater industry Licensure as a Professional Engineer Demonstrated project management experience and strong technical skills Strong leadership ability with a passion for managing and mentoring others Clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred Requirements Master’s degree in a relevant field Familiarity with New England and New York wastewater regulations, permitting processes, and funding opportunities Understanding of Revit use on multidisciplinary wastewater infrastructure projects Experience in wastewater system design, including treatment plants, pump stations, conveyance systems, and asset management planning Enthusiasm for learning and a self-motivated approach to professional growth Additional licensure in multiple states to support diverse project needs Your Financial and Wellness Benefits Compensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range below Annual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan Best in Class Medical Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Wellness Rewards and Reimbursements Tuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown Contributions Reimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and Fees Summer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work Environment Pet Insurance and Adoption Assistance More Information about Tighe & Bond Ways to Grow Your CareerWe provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
