POSITION SUMMARY The GHG Data Analyst Intern supports the work of the Population and Sustainability program and will work on research, writing and outreach projects to advance solutions that fight overconsumption. The internship will provide valuable experience working on real-world solutions related to libraries of things. The intern should have excellent writing and research skills and be dedicated to protecting biodiversity and supporting reuse. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct a short literature review to find existing GHG data regarding the benefits of sharing certain commodities through Library of Things. Identify GHG data gaps for typical borrowed commodities. Beta test partner GHG analysis tactics. Draft methodologies and other resources based off research for LoTs to track and measure their GHG savings, resource extraction and habitat preservation. Stay up to date on national news, policy and trends related to the project. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Good verbal and written communication skills Likes working in collaboration with a diverse group of people Experience working with a team and independently Detail oriented and good time management skills Excellent organization and computer skills Strong writing and research skills A passion for and knowledge of protecting biodiversity WORKING CONDITIONS Normal working schedule is Monday-Friday, schedule will be determined with your supervisor. This role requires long hours spent working at the computer, along with the operation of typical office equipment (copier, fax machine, etc).
