<h2><strong>Position Overview</strong></h2><p>MetroSys is seeking an experienced <strong>Cisco Data Center Consultant</strong> to support pre-sales and assessment activities for enterprise clients. This role will serve as a trusted technical resource during customer discovery, infrastructure assessments, and solution development engagements.</p><p>The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on Cisco data center expertise with the ability to engage clients, assess current-state environments, identify risks and opportunities, and help develop modernization roadmaps and solution recommendations.</p><p>This is an <strong>ad hoc consulting role</strong> intended to support pre-sales opportunities, infrastructure assessments, workshops, and customer-facing technical engagements. Travel may be required based on client needs.</p><hr><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Conduct technical discovery sessions and infrastructure assessments for enterprise data center environments.</li><li>Evaluate current-state compute, network, virtualization, and storage architectures.</li><li>Perform Cisco-focused assessments across:<ul><li>Cisco UCS</li><li>Cisco Nexus</li><li>Cisco ACI</li><li>Cisco MDS</li><li>Cisco Intersight</li></ul></li><li>Identify technical risks, lifecycle concerns, performance bottlenecks, and modernization opportunities.</li><li>Develop assessment findings, recommendations, and executive-level reports.</li><li>Support solution architects and sales teams during customer engagements.</li><li>Participate in customer workshops, design reviews, and strategy sessions.</li><li>Assist with scoping projects, developing statements of work (SOWs), and estimating implementation efforts.</li><li>Provide guidance on:<ul><li>Data center modernization</li><li>Compute refresh initiatives</li><li>Virtualization platforms</li><li>Hybrid cloud connectivity</li><li>Network and storage integration</li></ul></li><li>Deliver architecture recommendations and migration strategies aligned with client business objectives.</li><li>Serve as a subject matter expert during technical presentations and customer discussions.</li></ul><hr><h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>3+ years</strong> of enterprise data center engineering or&#160;consulting</li><li>Deep hands-on expertise with:<ul><li>Cisco UCS</li><li>Cisco Nexus</li><li>Cisco ACI</li><li>Cisco Data Center networking</li></ul></li><li>Strong understanding of:<ul><li>VMware environments</li><li>Data center networking</li><li>Compute and storage infrastructure</li><li>Disaster recovery and high availability design</li></ul></li><li>Experience performing infrastructure assessments and technical discovery workshops.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.</li><li>Experience supporting pre-sales and solution development activities.</li><li>Ability to travel throughout the Eastern United States as required.</li></ul>
